What Affects the Cost of General Repairs?
Handyman work is charged at $90/hour + GST with a one-hour minimum. Half-day bookings (up to 4 hours) are $340 + GST and a full day (up to 8 hours) is $650 + GST, so the longer the booking the lower the hourly works out. Materials are extra unless stated.
A single quick fix costs less than a list of several repairs.
Replacement timber, hardware or trims are quoted separately from labour.
Awkward or hard-to-reach spots can add time to a repair.
Sourcing a matching profile, timber or finish can affect the price.
Bigger jobs are charged hourly or as a half-day booking, not a flat fee.

What counts as a "general repair" rather than a bigger job?
Most door, timber, fence, shelving and cabinet repairs fall under general repairs. If a job turns out to need a full rebuild or a specialist trade, we'll tell you honestly during the quote rather than starting something outside our scope.
Do you supply the materials, or do I need to?
We can supply materials and add them to the quote, or you're welcome to supply your own — either way, materials are priced separately from labour.
Can you match my existing trim, timber or hardware?
We'll do our best to source a close match. Very old or discontinued profiles aren't always available, and we'll let you know honestly during the quote if an exact match isn't possible.
How long does a typical repair take?
A single repair can often be done in one visit. A longer list of jobs may be booked as a half-day, and we'll give you a realistic timeline as part of your quote.
Is the work guaranteed?
