A car hit the fence
Reversed into a boundary fence, gate or garden wall. The driver’s insurer usually pays — they still want the quote in writing.
Your insurer wants a written quote before they will pay. We come out, photograph and measure the damage, and send you an itemised PDF an assessor can approve — then fix it once the claim goes through.

The damage that turns into a claim, and what the quote has to prove.
It is not only fences. If it is damage we can repair, we can quote it for your claim — fencing, decking, cladding, doors and joinery, gib and plaster, painting, gutters and general carpentry. If the repair is outside what we do, we will say so when you send the photos rather than after you have paid us.

Fence panels down, a run leaning, spouting pulled off, cladding or trim torn loose after a southerly.
Yours or the neighbour’s. What it landed on, what has to come out, and what it costs to put back.
A leak that got into the lining, flooring or framing. Scope written so the insurer can see what is behind the wall.
A forced door, a split jamb, broken joinery. Quoted to make the house secure again, not just patched.
A hole through the plasterboard, a cracked benchtop, a door off its hinges. The everyday claims.
Four steps, and you only pay at the third one.
Message or email what happened and a few photos. We will tell you straight away whether it is worth a claim.
We come out, measure, and photograph the damage properly — dated, from the angles an assessor looks for.
An itemised PDF: scope of work, materials and labour line by line, our NZBN on it. Sent to you, or straight to your insurer.
Claim approved, we book the repair — and the quote fee comes off the invoice.
Everything an assessor needs in one document, so nobody has to come back and ask.
Priced on how much there is to work out, not on what the repair is worth. You know the figure before we come out.
$150 + GST
From $150 + GST
From $225 + GST
The fee comes off the repair. If we do the work once your claim is approved, the full quote fee is credited against the invoice — so the quote ends up costing you nothing.
Because it is a real piece of work. A claim quote means a site visit, measurements, dated photographs and a written breakdown an assessor can act on — usually a couple of hours all up. Insurers often ask for two or three quotes, so most of them never become a job. Charging a small fixed fee is what lets us do them properly and quickly instead of fitting them around paid work.
Many insurers reimburse reasonable quote costs as part of the claim. It is worth asking yours before you book. We give you a proper tax invoice with our NZBN on it, so you can send it in with the claim.
Yes. If a driver hit your fence or a neighbour’s tree came down on your side, the quote can go to your insurer or to theirs. It is the same document either way.
The quote is yours. Plenty of people find the damage is under their excess and decide to just get it fixed — in that case the fee comes off the repair invoice the same way.
We normally get on site the same day or the next, and the written quote follows the next working day — sometimes the one after it if the damage runs across several areas. If a claim is on a deadline, say so when you call and we will tell you straight away what we can do.
Because there is more to work out. A fence is one measurement and one scope. Water through a wall means checking where it went, what has to come out, what is behind it and what it costs to put every part of it back — several areas, several trades’ worth of scope. It starts at the same $150 and goes up with how much there is to assess. You get the figure before we start, not on the invoice.
Yes — shops, offices, tenancy and body-corporate claims, from $225 + GST. That is our commercial rate rather than a different document; the quote itself is the same. If the site cannot close during the day we will inspect out of hours.
Botany Downs, Howick, Pakuranga, Dannemora, Flat Bush, East Tamaki, Half Moon Bay, Bucklands Beach, Golflands, Somerville, Northpark and Highland Park — the East Auckland suburbs we work in every week. Anywhere further out, ask and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth our travel.
Yes, and that is the point of the fee credit. Once the claim is approved we book the repair ourselves — fencing, decking, cladding, doors, gib and painting are all our own work, not subbed out.
