Tightening a loose handrail and rebuilding an entire timber ramp are very different jobs, so pricing is confirmed after a look at the existing structure. The factors below are what usually move the quote up or down.

Can you repair an existing timber ramp?
Yes, where the remaining structure is suitable. Individual boards, fixings or local timber components may be repairable without rebuilding the complete ramp.
Can you install a new handrail beside existing steps?
Often, yes. The steps, available fixing points, surrounding space and intended use need to be assessed before selecting the most appropriate rail and fixing method.
Can you repair a loose or wobbly handrail?
Yes, depending on what has become loose. Posts, brackets, fixings and surrounding material can be inspected to identify where the movement originates.
Can you add anti-slip strips to a timber ramp?
Yes, where appropriate for the surface. The Northpark ramp rebuild shown on this page was finished with high-visibility anti-slip strips along the new decking.
Do you build access ramps?
We can assess and carry out suitable timber access-ramp carpentry work. The appropriate design depends on the property, available space and intended use.
Where specialist design, formal documentation or consent-related work is required, this should be established before construction.
