About This Decking Replacement
This Botany project began as a replacement of the old timber decking boards. After the existing boards were removed, the exposed subframe was inspected and several deteriorated and rotten joists were discovered.
Because the damage could not be fully assessed before the deck was opened up, the scope and quote were updated to include the additional treated timber, metal fixings, fasteners and labour needed for the repairs. The affected framing was repaired or replaced and reinforced before the new timber decking boards were installed.
The finished deck provides a clean, renewed outdoor surface supported by a properly repaired subframe — not just new boards laid over a problem that would have resurfaced within a year or two.
